Parkson Credit Aids Banting Home
Parkson Credit donated daily supplies such as rice, cooking oil, used clothes, hygiene products and diapers as well as RM28,300.00 in cash raised from the generosity of its staff, dealers nationwide and business partners under its “We Care” fundraising campaign in aid of Home for Handicapped & Mentally Disabled Children in Banting.
On 15 August 2020, 15 Parkson Credit staff visited the Home and mingled with the residents. Marketing Manager, Ms Michelle presented the contribution to Home Secretary, Puan Siti Nuraishah Murtijan.
The Home was built at a cost of RM2.2 million contributed by the Foundation in 2012 on a 4.17 acres piece of land worth RM1.2 million donated by Lion Group which can accommodate 100 children. It was officially opened by National Shuttler, Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei and the Foundation Chairman, Puan Sri Chelsia Cheng on 4 November 2012. Further construction work for the 2nd and 3rd phases which cost another RM6 million to enable the Home to accommodate another 100 children and an old folks home have been completed.
