Parkson Credit Aids Banting Home

Parkson Credit donated daily supplies such as rice, cooking oil, used clothes, hygiene products and diapers as well as RM28,300.00 in cash raised from the generosity of its staff, dealers nationwide and business partners under its “We Care” fundraising campaign in aid of Home for Handicapped & Mentally Disabled Children in Banting.

On 15 August 2020, 15 Parkson Credit staff visited the Home and mingled with the residents. Marketing Manager, Ms Michelle presented the contribution to Home Secretary, Puan Siti Nuraishah Murtijan.

The Home was built at a cost of RM2.2 million contributed by the Foundation in 2012 on a 4.17 acres piece of land worth RM1.2 million donated by Lion Group which can accommodate 100 children. It was officially opened by National Shuttler, Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei and the Foundation Chairman, Puan Sri Chelsia Cheng on 4 November 2012. Further construction work for the 2nd and 3rd phases which cost another RM6 million to enable the Home to accommodate another 100 children and an old folks home have been completed.

64 Pints of Blood Collected During the Blood Donation Campaign!

Parkson Credit held a blood donation drive in partnership with Pusat Darah Negara with the theme "Be a Superhero! Donate Blood, Save a Life!" on the 16th December 2019 at the lobby of the Lion Office Tower. A total of six recliner beds were set up for the event.

Ms. Syafa of Parkson Credit HR Department, who is the organizing staff, reported that the response was encouraging and the beds were full throughout the five-hour event. Donors included Group employees at the Lion Office Tower, passers-by outside and even Parkson Credit employees from the office down the road. She was pleased to report that, as a total of 64 pints of blood were collected, the campaign had met PDN expectations and more campaigns can be organized at the same location in the future.

Parkson Credit and Friends at the Lion Parkson Run 2018 for Charity.

On the 30th September 2018, the crew of Parkson Credit had done it again and ran during the third Lion Parkson Run to raise funds for education and charity. The crew this time included supportive Dealers and Vendors of the Company. The 1 to 10KM trail started and ended in the heart of Kuala Lumpur next to the Pavilion Mall at Bukit Bintang.

The Lion Parkson Foundation Home was officially established in November 2012 with 50 children under its care. Proceeds from the run will help the Home expand its facilities to include an orphanage, an old folks home and increase its accommodation to 200 children.

The Lion Parkson Run is fully funded by sponsors, 100% of participation fees paid by runners go towards charities managed by the Lion-Parkson Foundation.

Parkson Credit Joins Lion Parkson Run 2015 To Raise RM1,000,000 For Charity.

Parkson Credit goes the extra mile, for the extra smile! On the 15th of November 2015 we did our part to raise over RM1,000,000 for the Lion Parkson Foundation Home for the Handicapped & Mentally Disabled Children Selangor by running and sweating in the annual Lion Parkson Charity Run 2015 at Setia City Mall Central Park, Shah Alam.

The Lion Parkson Foundation Home was officially established in November 2012 with 50 children under its care. Proceeds from the run will help the Home expand its facilities to include an orphanage, an old folks home and increase its accommodation to 200 children.

The Lion Parkson Charity Run had its inaugural run in 2014 and raised RM1,008,000 for the Home that year.
